Fharid LaTorre fharidlatorre & Jamieson Pearl jamiesonpearl QUEUE Gallery presents Evidence of Evolution, a two-person exhibition bringing together Miami-based Fharid LaTorre and Los Angeles painter Jamieson Pearl (her Miami debut). Working across sculpture and painting, the artists converge around shared tensions: nostalgia and progression, control and fragmentation, care and restraint. In a moment where images and information circulate endlessly, their works absorb and reconfigure this saturation, creating space to reflect on our own evolving. Pearl’s glitch-like paintings pull from the visual language of online subcultures, balancing recognition and estrangement through meticulous, pixelated surfaces. LaTorre’s sculptural forms move between bone and machine, assembling hybrid anatomies that feel both excavated and engineered—structures held in tension, suspended between protection and control. Together, the exhibition considers the artist as both witness and participant, tracing the fragile line between transformation and decay.
