We will be screening get off the floor!, a pro-shark, anti-capitalist absurdist short film answering questions of labor, environmental, and housing exploitation pushed by Miami developers, American capitalists, and shark fishermen. The screening will be followed by a panel of researchers and community leaders based in Miami discussing the links between our system of overdevelopment and gentrification, sharks, and its impacts on South Florida’s environment and biodiversity.
