EQ: Your DIY Music Industry Summit

about

EQ is Miami's DIY music industry summit by peopleplacesthingsmiami, built to close the distance between this city's talent and the industry that signs it. Artists, producers, engineers, rappers, and bands share one room with the people who can actually move their careers, and everyone walks out knowing more than they walked in with. The first edition drew more than a hundred creatives, and Ampersand Studios made it the event's home. No. 2 runs August 18, 6 to 10PM, at Ampersand Studios. Entertainment attorney Somara Jacques joins us again to lead Contracts, Decoded, a workshop where she walks the room through a mock contract line by line so predatory deals stop catching Miami's artists. The Demo Room follows. You play one minute of your unreleased music and the room gives you real feedback. Free headshots for the first hour and a half courtesy of 3.2.juanflashstudios. Come early to take advantage! The room is capped and the list is vetted. Vendor spots are limited.
